Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 Nothing much to do until game time except turn the page on yesterday and wait for medical news.Perez vs Andrew Miller tonight.Miller is one of the two main minor league chips who came from Detroit in the Cabrera/Willis blockbuster. OFer Cameron Maybin, currently in the minors, is the other.Picked #6 overall in the 2006 draft (and might have gone higher had smaller market clubs not been scared by $$$ demands) after a great college career as a UNC Tarheel, the 6' 6" lefty has had limited success so far in pieces of two seasons but many think it's only a matter of time until he breaks out as a top pitcher. Like many young pitchers, finding the plate has been his biggest bugaboo to date -- 49 BBs in 74 IPs
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 We saw Miller pitch last season with Detroit, when Tom F. Glavine blew a 3-0 first inning lead and ruined my birthday.Wright hit a 3-run homer off him.
