soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 I'm certain that I used to know Ironman's origin when I was younger but the fact that he was never my favorite character combined with my advancing age have muddled that memory. That being said, the origin shown in this preview of the movie is completely different.I remember Tony Stark as a humanitarian Industrialist. Playboy sure but one with a social conscience. His creating the Ironman suit had a great deal to do with a degenerative heart condition and I recall that the suit was sort of like a superpowered iron lung.Robert Downey Jrs. Stark seems to be quite the badass motherfucker that builds Ironman as a way to escape terrorists and then probably fuck their shit up.The trailer does look pretty good though.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 That origin is pretty consistent with the original (original origin?):http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_StarkEven if he's turned into a Downey wiseass.Gwyneth gets the Pepper Potts role:
