Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Anyone in the advertising biz? I'm trying to determine who gets paid to come up with the Mets' overall brand positioning strategy, writes their horrible slogans, etc.I know Jerry Della Femina, yet another high school buddy of Fred and a giant in the ad biz, did it for a while in the 80s when the Mets were briefly ahead of the curve in this area. But I'm fairly sure the Mets have mov ed along since then a few times.

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Great article on the slogan for 1992.Hardball is Back
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 ]For the Mets, the danger, of course, is that their performance during the 1992 season, which begins April 6, will fall short of the advertising's promise. What's the likelihood of that!?
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Awesome huh?I sit around and think about what message the Mets want to send us.Thanks for the linkeroos. That awful song is what's driving me to investigate.
