Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 Leads the Zeffs in saves. More whiffs than innings. Whipping @ 1.1-something. NYC native. Keeps it in the ballpark. Wears his socks high and his hat low. Soon to be displaced by Carlos Muniz.I dunno why they don't give a guy like this a shot.
Guest sharpie Guests Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 No surprise that Dickshot would be advocating the Mets call up a player named Ivan.

Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 Yuh. The other guy, Willie Collazo, is a slowball specialist whose been tough on lefties in AAA. I wouldn't mind seeing him get a shot too.Perhaps Pelfrey takes one for the team and becomes a short man for the last month too. The Mets seem to have some faith in his ability, so I suppose he's got a shot to be that guy.I'm not asking for Joba Chamberlain Jr. Just someone who can get a few outs here and there while the guys they need take the time off they need or work out whatever ails them.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 Pelfrey has had practice at being the short man so he can do it.
