Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 http://www.enjoytheenjoyment.com/2007/08/lance-niekro-will-give-knuckleballing.htmlLance Niekro, quitting the hitting and attempting to follow in the footsteps of his father and uncle.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 Go Lance. I thought he was going to be better than he turned out, hitting-wize.Anyone know whatever became of Zac Clements, the Mets' knuckleball-convert project?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 More from the hitting to pitching front:"former catcher turned pitcher Joe Hietpas picked up his fourth win for St. Lucie. Hietpas was named the Mets minor league pitcher of the month in July"
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 17, 2007 Posted August 17, 2007 I've been looking for evidence of Clements, as chronicled in Just Like Starting Over, but have found none.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 I would have thought Niekro the Third would have panned out as a first baseman. Hope he does well in his genetic profession... just not against us.
