In #5 starter news, Park starts and gives up one earnie in threee innings. Two hits, two walks, one strikeout.

Aaron Sele comes in and throws two, allowing four hits and five hits and four runs.

This round to Park.

Scoreless hitless innings follow by Schmoll, Feliciano, and Burgos, leaving the score tied 5-5 in the ninth before Ambiorex loads them on two hits and a walk (to a pinch-hitting Super Joe), and the game ends with a grand slam by backup shortstop Ed Rogers (one career in-season homer). Yuck, Amby.

Post Game Thread.

Try to keep up with newly emerging CPF jargon, Cooby.

The Mets mustered nine hits, including a double by Valentin (off Papelbon), and a three-run homer by Easley (off Okajima, the other Japanese pitcher in camp).

Carp got two more hits, but also struck out twice. Milledge went 0-4 with two strikeouts and stranded four.

I thought maybe it was a cross between PoTG and IGT and was coming up with nothing.
And also I had just watched that very strange unicorn video and my brain was fried.

Wright and Carp are the only ones with multi hit games.

Millege had a liner robbed by a diving catch.

Park gave up his ER in the first inning, then settled down for the next two, giving up one hit in the 2nd and 3rd innings.

Sele... blah. Sele.
