Former Met, Pedro Astacio surrendered more hits (9) to the Mets in 6+ innings than his teamates contributed (7) over nine innings. Still the Nationals won the game as the Mets offense continued to sputter. Orlando Hernandez pitched well for the Mets, but with the sparcity of runs the offense is providing in most games of late, a pitcher has minimal room for error.

In acknowledgement of the Mets frigid offense recently, we have a six pack of Borealis Iceberg Beer for our POTG to enjoy while we hope for an offensive thaw to occur before October baseball starts.
