Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 What a dreadful series. There was little to smile about in this 3 game set at PNC Park as the Mets were swept by the lowly Pirates. The Mets had best learn to hit left handed pitching soon, for they have surely been exposed. In the past month, the Mets offense against left handers has been abysmal. They return to Shea with their magic number stuck at one and their aura of invicibility tarnished.Time to fillet some fish in the upcoming 4 game set at Shea against the Marlins. In anticipation of the upcoming series, our game tonight was sponsored by New Jersey's own Flying Fish Brewing Company. They hurriedly sent over a case of Flying Fish Bottle Conditioned Porter in hopes of inspiring the Mets for the upcoming series.

Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Same brewery, different beer. I'm hoping that there will be nothing left of the Marlins playoff hopes, but fish bones after the Mets finish the four game series with them.
