Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 Ryan Howard hit a grand slam to cap a 5 run fifth inning for the Phillies. In the end, it was the Phillies that got slammed as the Mets answered back with 7 runs in the seventh inning to secure the victory and even the series at one game apiece. Oliver Perez made his first start as a Met. He held the Phillies to only 2 hits, but 5 walks and a hit batsmen really hurt him. The 7 strike outs in 5 innings was encouraging though. Tonight we feature a beer I had with a wonderful blackened grilled tuna steak dinner. Tonight we enjoy Abita Amber Beer from the Abita Brewing company of Abita Springs, Louisiana. Heavenly, like a Mets victory.
