Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 I'm planning on seeing this one tonight. I'm guessing that most of the guys here are going to hate this, but I sometimes enjoy whiny, imperfect relationship films. If nothing else, they generally open up topics of conversation that would never otherwise come up.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 I liked it, despite the admittedly silly ending. Then again, the film was set in New York, and I'm a sucker for New York footage (especially the parts that are in my old neighborhood). It was well acted and well paced, and it didn't go overboard in clobbering the audience over the head with preachiness. D-Dad (predictably) didn't like it as much as I did, but he found it tolerable, which is probably the best case scenario for most of you guys. But there's a dearth of date films out there, so if you're looking for one, this isn't a bad choice.
