Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 With their starting pitchers dropping like flies, the Mets turned to David Williams to take a turn in the rotation. He did a credible job, but when he left with runners at the corners with two outs in the 6th inning, he didn't get much relief from Roberto Hernandez. Fortunately the Mets offense erupted, with the help of some shoddy defensive play by the Rockies, for 6 runs in the bottom of the 6th. Our sponsor for this game is the Great Divide Brewing Company of Denver, Colorado. They sent over a cooler full of their Denver Pale Ale for the team to celebrate their come from behind victory.
