Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 Carlos Beltran continued his great overall play and David Wright broke out of his prolonged slump which generally means trouble for Mets opponents. Last night, the Rockies fell prey to the Mets star power. Speaking of power, Endy Chavez muscled up in the fourth inning and tied the game with his third home run of the season. Steve Trachsel was his usual (unspectacular, but effective) self. He held the Rockies reasonably in check and waited for the offense to abuse Rockies starter, Byung-Hyun Kim. The offense came to life the second time they got a look at Kim. To the victor goes the spoils, so our sponsor for last night's game was Breckenridge Brewing Company of Denver, Colorado. They gladly provided a tub of iced Breckenridge Ballpark Brown. SJR, please give me a little credit. The only way I'd serve the team Killian's or other Coors fare is if they play badly and hadn't earned a decent beer. So, the team should consider themselves forwarned.
