Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Of all the games this year, this has to be one of the absolute worst. Not only did the Mets get absolutely thrashed, but Pedro Martinez hurt himself and may be headed for the DL. Pedro strained his right calf warming up before the game and it only got worse in the game. Pedro was clearly not himself and lasted only one inning and 30 pitches. As for the offense, let's just say that the hitters didn't fare much better than Pedro and leave it at that. After a game like this one, I'm not sure that beer will suffice. I think something more substantial is in order to erase this fiasco from our memory. Tonight, I think a little "liquid amnesia" is in order, so take a hit and pass the mason jar to your right.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Milledge's poor defense and baserunning should DQ him from getting any suds tonight. The only person who actually did his job well tonight was Royce Ring - the beer should go to him.
