Tom Glavine had a rough first inning, but then he settled in and pitched quite well for the next six innings. Reminiscent of Pedro's return from the DL during the Atlanta series. Jon Lieber pitched eight strong innings for the Phillies, but was fortunately done in by his (own) defense.

Glavine finally earned his 12th win of the season, which gives him 287 for his career. The Mets also ended their two game skid to earn their 65th win of the season. All in all, it wasn't a pretty win, but a win just the same.

Your request has been noted. I'm having a tough time remembering what beers I have and haven't used previously. I guess the Mets won't complain too much as long as they don't have to face Schlitz or Milwaukee's Best Light again.
