Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 Pedro Maratinez and Dontrelle Willis locked up in a classic pitching duel. Pedro pitched 6 great innings; so did Willis, then he pitched 2 more. While Willis continued to dominate the Mets hitters, Willie Randolph turned to his bullpen for relief. Newly acquired Roberto Hernandez pitched a 1-2-3 seventh inning, then in the eighth, Heilman happened. He traded runs allowed for outs and effectively the game was done for the Mets.Best to down a few cold ones and forget about this one. Head back to Shea with a cooler full of Dogfish Head Chicory Stout and take solace in the fact that the Phillies have no one resembling Dontrelle Willis on their staff.
