Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 This game started bad, then went to shit in the 5th inning. A spirited comeback fell just short and the team ultimately lost to the Cubs.Looking on the bright side, Carlos Delgado seems to have found his bat. In the last 4 games, Delgado has gone 6-9, with 2 HRs, 9 RBIs, and 5 walks against only 1 K.. Nice turn around considering he had been 6-30, with 1 HR, 2 RBIs, and 1 walk against 10 Ks in the previous 7 games. Well, for no other reason than the name and label amuse me, our sponsor for tonight's game is Hairy Eyeball Ale from the Lagunitas Brewing Company of Petaluma, California.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 I knew I should have read through the play by play for the game. Bell's boxscore line looks pretty good, but he did let both of the runners he inherited score. Probably didn't deserve a nomination, but I can't alter a poll once it's submitted.
Guest Giant Squidlike Creature Guests Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 Squid can axe Bell from the poll if you desire.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 I guess we'll leave him up there since he actually received a vote. Thatnks for the offer though.
