This one started out so promising, but it became ugly pretty quickly. I don't get to actually see very many Mets games, but this one became too painful to watch and I changed the channel with the Yankees still batting in the fourth inning.

Watching last nights game put me in a giving mood. So I would like to give some presents to a few Mets, because I think they could be useful. A kind of Christmas in July for the Mets.

It's almost an insult to be named POTG of a stinker like this one. However, Beltran's two homers would likely garner POTG honors in almost any game.
