Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 This one started out so promising, but it became ugly pretty quickly. I don't get to actually see very many Mets games, but this one became too painful to watch and I changed the channel with the Yankees still batting in the fourth inning. Watching last nights game put me in a giving mood. So I would like to give some presents to a few Mets, because I think they could be useful. A kind of Christmas in July for the Mets. It's really not that hard, even the little kids can master it.In honor of Beltran's efforts, our sponsor for last night's debacle is Medalla Cerveza from his native homeland of Puerto Rico. Hopefully it will help to ignite the Mets and break the funk they're in.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 It's almost an insult to be named POTG of a stinker like this one. However, Beltran's two homers would likely garner POTG honors in almost any game.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 Well, the offense wasn't too bad. It's just that the pitching was horrendus.
