Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Pedro Martinez and Derek Lowe faced off in the second game of the Los Angeles series in what was anticipated as a pitcher's duel. This is one of those games where things didn't quite go as anticipated. Pedro struggled through 5 difficult innings and never found his rhythm. Everyone is entitled to a bad outing every now and then. Lowe performed better for the Dodgers, but was nearly ambushed by Jonathon Broxton's wildness. Broxton gave the Mets hope when he came in and couldn't find the plate with a map and a compass. Unfortunately, the Dodgers took him out before he had a chance to completely give the game to the MetsNo standout performances in this game for the Mets, but someone has to drink the beer. Our sponsor for this game is Hamms Special Light. Believe me, there is nothing special about Hamms beer, but if the POTG desires a better brew then someone needs to step up and give a better performance. Their mascot does serve the Beer with style though.**Actually, I'm not sure that Hamms is still brewed.

Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Well, a six pack of Hamm's isn't really all that great a prize.
