Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted April 23, 2006 Posted April 23, 2006 There really wasn't much to like in this game. After falling behind 5-0, a 4 run rally in the sixth inning gave the Mets a fleeting glimmer of hope in this game, but it wasn't meant to be. Considering Victor Zambrano started this one for the Mets, it was no small task that they were able to make a game of it. Zambrano seems even more clueless this season, than in past ones. Jorge Julio continued his scoreless inning streak in yet another mop up role. Unfortunately, in too many of his recent appearances, the Mets were on the wrong end of the mop.Tonight we feature another local San Diego brew. A bottle of Alesmith's Old Numbskull goes to the player selected as POTG. They're going to need a beer that is sold as a fifth (750mL) and has 10% alcohol by volume in order to forget about this one as soon as possible.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 Still seeking more votes for this game.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Last chance to vote in this one before it gets shut down. Am I the only one that finds the concept of microbrewed beer sold in 750mL bottles a little odd. I guess it would be okay for a party. Their site says they are refillabe unpon a return trip to the brewery.
