Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 One of the tricks in having a bunch of players under long-term deals is not to have them all run out at the same time. If they're staggered you only need to replace a piece or two at a time. Of course if said players suddenly turn to shit before their deals run out then you're in hot water in any case.As of right now, this is what we're looking at for the final year of current long-term contracts( * = option for the following season):[u:6b8ae2bb82]2006[/u:6b8ae2bb82]:MatsuiFloydTrachselGlavine[u:6b8ae2bb82]2007[/u:6b8ae2bb82]:Benson *[u:6b8ae2bb82]2008[/u:6b8ae2bb82]:Delgado *Martinez[u:6b8ae2bb82]2009[/u:6b8ae2bb82]:Wagner *[u:6b8ae2bb82]2011[/u:6b8ae2bb82]:BeltranAt some point soon we'll most likely be adding a catcher onto this list.(edited due to inability to count)
