Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 I mentioned this earlier this week, but how dubious is it that MLB bans logos on players' uniforms, but the commissioner's old team has a hat insignia looks like this:and the logo of their stadium sponsor looks like this:Just similar enough to put the product in mind; just different enough for plausible deniablitity.I don't fear the Mets replacing the NY with a Met Life-like M --- yet --- but the Brewer hat seems like an ugly precedent.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 Excellent observation, I can't say I ever connected the two but I don't drink Miller beer, definitly somethin a used car salesman would do though.
