Guest KC Guests Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 The Sox are smacking around the Phils again, 7-0 after four. Ramirezhit a grand slam that really demonstated the band box the new park is.But hey, he'll take it.If the Mets ever get a stadium, I think that would be my one beef if they didn't keep it somewhat a pitcher's park.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 There are a lot of lessons from Citizens Bank Ballpark on how not to build a stadium.Make sure that people can see the entire field from their seats. Make sure the seats face the diamond as opposed to the outfield. Make the out of town scoreboard more visible (or construct a second one). That's what I have, for starters.
Guest KC Guests Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 Well, it sucks blowing an 8-1 lead ... 8-8 Phils still batting in the 7th.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 Boston has retaken the lead - 12-8 in the top of the 8th.Not exactly a pitchers' duel in Philly today.
Guest SI Metman Guests Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 2 hit shutout for Burnett as the Fish beat the Rays 1-0Mark Prior returns and pitches 6 innings of 1 hit ball against the White SoxSmoltzie went the distance and Andruw homered again as the Braves won 8-1Toronto about to beat the Nats at home
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 12-8 BoSox is the phinal in Philly.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 Top of the 9th in Chicago adn the Cubs are up 2 - 0, I have this game on WGN and the Sox anouncers are total homers, "good guys coming to bat, on a deep fly ball it went something like this go on, git up outta here, go go, ahh man Burnitz makes the catch...and now the annoucer is telling us why the Sox are down by two "we just can't get guys on base, we need more scoring chances....Timo Perez pinch hitting is on 1st...Cubs win 2/0
Guest KC Guests Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 Yeah, I forget who they are but they're pretty bad. One thing getting more and more coverage via internet and tv packages has done has made me lay off the Mets' announcers much more than I used to. If F X Healy could learn not to be so damn redundant, he would be a prince among men (and Waldskanks) compared to some of the people out there.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 i thik the Sox announcers are Ken Harrelson adn Darin Jackson?
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 Oakland is beating up on San Francisco but good! The A's have scored 16 runs on 22 hits going to the 7th inning, while Rich Harden has held the Giants to one hit.Talk about a lopsided game!
Guest KC Guests Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 In the meantime, I have Vin Scully on doing a tied 3-3 LA vs LAAoA game.Mr. Golden Lungs still amazes me. FOX West has this cool replay feature that shows replays with snap shotsof a runners or fielders progression that stay on the screen - hard to describebut neat.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 BTW, I notice that the date of this thread is off by a few months.
Guest KC Guests Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 It's the lack of oxygen. I ain't editing it, too funny again. It's not like everyone doesn't know I'm an assclown.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 Shhh. KC drinks a bit and we don't like to point these things out in public.(did I just type that out load?)btw, for all the talk that no WC team would come out of the NL East this year ... the Braves are currently it.And they're doing this with 3 starters on the DL, plus their catcher, plus Chipper, and w/no closer, and they started 7 rookies the other day ...
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 Note to file - send an oxygen tank AND some black coffee up Kase's way <g>
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 Based on Frayed Knot's spelling of "loud," I don't think KC is the only one self-medicating.
