Guest KC Guests Posted June 6, 2005 Posted June 6, 2005 Frankly, I don't see how anyone can have any confidence in ezboard at thispoint. There's more stuff gone each day instead of being restored.Let's step back for a second. Does anyone really think that making sure thateveryone gets their posting levels back when trying to start a board up on thefly with no knowledge of how to do it was or should have been a priority? Or is it a priority that the posting levels stay current instead of historic? Or is it a priority it doesn't look like the old place? No.The priority was to make sure it was functional and we had a place to post where posts don't disappear and if this server explodes tonight while we sleep,a couple of people have a back-up that can be used to start a new board. As itturns out, I was unaware until today just how much control we have over thisnew board and with the help some of your cpf brothers and with our learning whatmakes the joint tick ... this place has tons more potential than you might be im-agining while ezboard appears to be, at the risk of ripping off the original manager, "dead at the present time" So there.

Guest cooby Guests Posted June 6, 2005 Posted June 6, 2005 KC, remember my request? Did ya find out yet?
Guest KC Guests Posted June 6, 2005 Posted June 6, 2005 Your special cooby powers are getting weaker by the day ....Nice sock.
Guest cooby Guests Posted June 6, 2005 Posted June 6, 2005 Well! I'll take that as a no can doSomething we all would have benifitted from, too. Tsk.
Guest KC Guests Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 Take it as a low priority and this is no time for tsks. Be a leader, cooby ...and show some patience. We got a functional place within a couple ofdays and there's way too much whining and complaining. I don't need theaggravation on top of a large to-do list. I can deal with to-dos, I don't res-pond well to aggravation.
Guest Iubitul Guests Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 No whining and complaining here - I don't have to keep loggin gin here, and I don't have the freaking buy me page when I do log in.This beats ez-board any day.
Guest Elster88 Guests Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 I don't think that posting levels are the most important thing to posting, but they are fun to keep track of and to see next to your posts. If they don't mean anything why have you guys spent millions of hours calculating them?
Guest KC Guests Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 It's a priority thing, and the posting levels restoration is being looked into.My point is the board has been up for three days and there's been a lotof needless complaint over something that is a low priority. I can't makemy stance on this any clearer.
Guest cooby Guests Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 Are you talking to me? Geez, you really don't know when I'm joking do you?I'll just be quiet
Guest Elster88 Guests Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 Not arguing the priority levels. After rereading I realized that I'm arguing against a strawman. I thought someone had posted that posting levels had no importance at all.
Guest seawolf17 Guests Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 Okay, everybody cool out. I know we're all frazzled by the move, and losing a lot of history. Let's do as much as we can to save it, and look forward.(As much as I loved moving up the ranks on my posting level, part of the fun for me is finding pictures of all these random guys I've never heard of, or at least a reasonable takeoff of their names. So I don't really care where I am on the list right now.)Sorry I haven't done much saving over there; every time I pop over there to try, it's running too slow for my patience (which is already thin on this stupid house thing). I'll keep popping over when I get time.
