News out of Virginia is reporting that Norfolk Housing Authority Director Nathan Simms has been fired for directing no-bid contracts to personal associates.

In Georgia, Monroe County Animal Services Director Beck Gifford has been fired after being hit with a drug distribution charge.

And in a real shocker out of San Diego, Del Mar Fairgrounds CEO Carlene Moore is out after a closed-door meeting by the Fairgrounds board ended in an 8-1 vote that sealed her doom.

Be careful out there.
