Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 4, 2025 Posted September 4, 2025 José Castillo has been claimed off waivers by the Seattle Mariners.Should he appear for them, it will be his third MLB team this season.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2025 Posted September 4, 2025 No specific memories. A very lucky pitcher with a WHIP near 1.800. ERA of 2.35, ERA+ of 175, WHIP of 1.800. Those sorts of numbers can't happen too often.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted September 4, 2025 Posted September 4, 2025 Part of a large Met bullpen cohort to have performed better than Ryan Helsley.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 5, 2025 Author Posted September 5, 2025 Threw three pitches on August 25 to walk away with his first pitching victory as a big-leaguer since 2018, as the Mets dug out of a 3-0 hole to score 13 unanswered runs against the first-place Phils, starting a three-game sweep. It was the game that, if the Mets make anything of this season, will be remembered as the turning point. Not the sort of figure I would have DFA'd.
