Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 In fairness to Garrett, his "rough outing" as Gary called it consisted of two sort hits and a fly out.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 Ottavino coming on for the bottom of the eighth, which kind of suggests that we're going back to Díaz in the ninth.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 That's too close to flip ... which doesn't mean they won't flip it.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 I think the evidence suggests that Burger's cleats beat the throw, but his foot did not.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 Of Gary, Keith and Ron, I like Gary the least. Keith is funny, Ron is cerebral, Gary gets hyper and excited over dumb things and his "it's outta here!" is annoying. And the one time he had the chance to come up with a line for the ages, Santana's no-hitter, he managed only a weak "It...has...happuned!", clearly choking in the clutch.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 The ever-changing fortunes of Mark Vientos are on an upswing
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 Ottavino throws six pitches for six strikes, getting three outs.Yes, go to him to open the ninth.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 Here's a good chance for Diaz to blow the save. Second-worst save percentage in the league since he joined the Mets, by the way.*among closers with 100+ saves.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 A thousand years ago, 2000 or so, the Marlins had a starting pitcher named Jesus Sanchez.I wonder if it's the same guy.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 Feel free to take away Edwin's save chance, Mark. And that goes for the two guys behind you also.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 Are they being fistic? Is there actually a rhubarb afoot? I'm watching this on Gameday and can see only words on the screen, as well as little dots.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 Oh, well, I guess they got over it, whatever it was.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 I really like what I've seen from JD Martinez this seasonI realized it when I was catching up on Schaefer points
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 "Overrated Edwin" Diaz has the highest ERA on the team, among pitchers with 10+ appearances.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 "Overrated Edwin" Diaz has the highest ERA on the team, among pitchers with 10+ appearances. And despite getting paid the handsome sum of $20 million, he hasn't managed even a single shutout all year.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 At .236, Nido's batting average is actually 200 points higher than I thought it would be.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 Well, Diaz just Benitez'ed in another run.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 Diaz is the 2020s Frank Francisco.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA KNEW IT. I just knew it. This guy sucks.
