metirish Old-Timey Member Posted December 13, 2022 Posted December 13, 2022 Never in a million years would I have thought I would like this, but two episodes in and it is funny and enjoyable.Sylvester Stallone plays Dwight Manfredi , recently released from 25 years in prison, instead of a warm reception back in NYC he is sent to Tulsa to set up shop. Stallone plays the ageing mafia capo to perfection, a lot of old school Mafia tropes here but it's funnier than I expected, good supporting cast too.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted December 13, 2022 Posted December 13, 2022 Odd that it took Stallone this long before he got cast as an Italian mobster.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted December 13, 2022 Posted December 13, 2022 He's played a couple. And, of course, before boxing started paying off, Rocky paid the bills by being a lower-level mob enforcer. This may be his first time playing a capo-type, though.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted January 3, 2023 Author Posted January 3, 2023 This had taken a downturn through seven episodes, , still fun though
