I'd have guessed Ryan Cordell formed a blue-eyed doo-wop group that still tours without its original members. But, no the Cordells don't exist. However, Ryan Cordell is a recent White Sox outfielder the Mets have signed to a minor league contract.

Cordell isn't terrible, some pop, some speed. I can see him being useful at some point.



He was once traded straight-up for Anthony Swarzak.
