Former Cubs (and Reds and A's) shuttle rider, switch-hitter, and utility dude Arismendy Alcantara has signed a minor league dealiio that sort of went under the radar. 'Mendy has played pretty much everywhere, with only pitcher, catcher, and first base left to cross off. He has a nice power (both sides)/speed profile, but he hasn't been able to gain traction as a big league hitter, and spent most of 2018 with Oaxaca and Tijuana in the Mexican League, where he showed at least a hint of his old form.
