I came to the Mets in 2006 in one of Omar Minaya's games of Two Teams Swap a Bag of Relievers. I left the Mets in 2008 in another one of Omar Minaya's games of Two Teams Swap a Bag of Relievers. You don't like what we're offering? Here, have another reliever.

Since then, I've bounced around the American League winning 80 games as a second-tier but terribly reliable lefthanded starting pitcher. When I'm not painting album covers for The Cars, I'm doing Jon Lovitz imitations, and when I'm not doing that, I'm throwing 180-210 innings per season.

That's my reputation, but now that my contract is signed, I'll be honest: it doesnt' always work out. It didn't in 2015 and 2016, during which I threw only 55 innings combined. It may not this year either, seeing as how the team has eight starters I'm the only one opening the season on the DL.

It wasn't supposed to work out like this, but hey, the story is still being written. I pitched a sim game today, and pretty soon, I'll start pitching real ones. What happens when I do? You tell me.
