  1. Some Nimmo redemption would be nice.
  2. What's the team record for homers in consecutive games?
  3. [bIGPURPLE]OR FOUR!!!![/bIGPURPLE]
  4. It's the seventh. One or two runs here is OK by me. Stay within yourself, Pete.
  5. Whatever happens, Pete ... run like the wind.
  6. I feel like these early holes have taught the Mets offense the resolve to make comebacks. Now they need the pitchers to do their part.
  7. Two runs anywhip.
  8. Still need that third out.
  9. What a double-play!
  10. Nimmo swinging at garbage is bad Nimmo.
  11. Gary Sanchez is not a big swallower of fluids.
  12. Edgy MD wrote: He's currently sucking to the tune of seven retired in a row. Are you excusing the four earned runs? I don't have that power.

  14. Big strike zone tonight.
  15. Took until the third inning for Carrasco to show up. Part of the thing with all these first-inning holes is that Mets pitchers returning from the Injured List or suspension seem to take a few innings to settle in the first start or two. That's possibly a bunch of bullshit, but I dunno. Seems-a like it.
  16. That's a crap turn of events for Locastro. I'm pretty sure that he was still officially on a rehab assignment. Does his 60-day period get backdated to his original IL designation?
  17. Yeah, it's kinda forced and gross kinda sorta. Much more fun when one team wants to rock rainbows and another wants to rock camo, and still another wants to wear autism ribbons. Whether it's a cause I believe in or not, it certainly doesn't feel meaningfully endorsed when that endorsement is universal and compulsory.
  18. The irony is that Perez is playing out of his mind in the brief amount of time he's gotten, although it would appear to be the textbook definition of unsustainability. How weird, and pretty cool, that two of the three games turned on catcher pickoffs.
  19. The waiver wire cost us Seth Elledge ("Smelledge" to his friends), but Santana sneaks through. Despite his now-non-roster status, I imagine we can look forward to seeing him again. 20. Perez was the starting catcher for the Mets in today's game. Made that awesome back-pick that bailed the Mets out of trouble. Under any circumferences, the prophecy that Sanchez would be called up before Mark Vientos did not come to pass.
  21. Nice. Mets will also be playing with an acute case of .500 Fever.
  22. The Gardaí make their first visit to Citi Field under their new name, as their old teammate Carlos Carrasco comes off the Injured List to pitch agin' them. Cal Quantrill, son of Paul, goes for Cleveland. Cal, a rare second-generation Canadian MLB'er, has only appeared once before against the Mets, getting hit hard back in 2019.
  23. First consecutive wins since April 21. First series win since April 19. Back within a game of .500. Against easily the best team in baseball.
