  1. [bIGPURPLE]DRAMA!!![/bIGPURPLE] (And now Diaz has been sitting about 15 minutes ... . Who do we pitch?)
  2. Hard to get any more dramatic than now.
  3. Looks like Torrens gets a chance to carry the team this afternoon after all.
  4. Ninth-inning rally brings up a classick bunting situation for Vientos, but no way they do that with Mark up and McNeil on deck.
  5. Mets playing for the tie on the road by pinch-running for Álvarez.
  6. Well, that's a series of decisions that didn't pan out.
  7. RBI DUBBLE!!! https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/e/e2/Barney_Rubble.png/160px-Barney_Rubble.png>
  8. But a 4-6-3 ends it. Tellez might have been the only lefthanded hitter that they could have doubled-up that one, but double him up they did. Now for one of those runs. Bader has replaced DJ Stewart in the lineup.
  9. But no. Garrett is on. Still hasn't gotten on top of that splitter.
  10. Six scoreless on 89 pitches. Stay with him. And score for him.
  11. Pitch #80 gets the first out, thanks to Nimmo. Thanks to the Pirates helping with Manaea's pitch economy after shaking him down badly the first few innings.
  12. Five scoreless for Manaea. But at 79 pitches, he's likely on the clock.
  13. McNeil earning his keep as best he can as an outfielder.
  14. Sean Manaea should call his love OMGlove.
  15. A lot of pitcher-friendly calls today, sort of like that silly Nats game on July 4.
  16. They're going to keep throwing McNeil the inside slider as long as it works. And damn, it continues to work.
  17. Looking for a lefty reliever? The Mets have acquired Matt Gage from the Dodgers in exchange for cash. Gage, who hails from the capital district/Albany region of New York, has had success in short stints the last two years with Toronto and Houston, and while his numbers look pretty indifferent in AAA this year, you've got to make allowances for pitching in the PCL. He wears a chestnut brown beard, so he should fit right in to the Mets bullpen, and carries a might bit of extra mass in his middle. Strong thighs, big butt, prominent gut. He was immediately optioned to Syracuse so they can test-drive him before deploying. 18. Luís Torrens not expected to carry the Mets today.
  19. =ashie62 post_id=161506 time=1720291701 user_id=90] Make it so LGM
  20. He didn't even pull out the hook.
  21. They can. And the relievers can go two and three.
  22. 6-4-3. I like Slow McCutcheon better than Fast McCutcheon.
  23. Rowdy Yates goes down. McCutcheon next.
  24. Of course, I would have stuck with Boots, so I had little hope that they'd stick with Dedniel.
