  1. Nimmo is going to be jumping out of his shoes looking to take this guy deep.
  2. Lefty Specialist wrote: Squeaky bum time. You heard that?
  3. If only Ryne Stanek was more animated.
  4. Two bad swinging strike-three calls in two innings.

  6. Monasterio got game.
  7. Zach is also expected to make upcoming appearances in London, Paris, and Munich.
  8. Vientos-to-Baty-to-Alonso is a double-play of a third-baseman to an out-of-position third-baseman to a converted third-baseman.
  9. Alonso suddenly getting his throwing confidence back is $$.
  10. A nice turnaround for Gleyber to go from so-called "laziest player in baseball" to All-Star starter for the best team in the league.
  11. Also, the English on the bouncing ball that Senger hit over the mound. Strange luck but a huge difference maker.
  12. The hidden X-factor in this game was Alonso's consistently accurate tosses to the pitcher covering first.
  13. Pitcher batting alert! Lindor has entered on defense as the Mets forsake the DH! Diaz due up fourth in the bottom of the ninth! And if there is a bottom of the ninth, it will be my fault!
  14. I thought the team would pinch-hit for Senger, but when they did not, I guessed they were wary of changing catchers on Diaz. And then when he reached base, they pinch-ran for him, which tells you how much I know. Apparently, he's a bigger liability after getting to first than he is in the batter's box, relatively speaking.
  15. All the bellyaching in the world did not get us through this inning without having to hit the Diaz button.

  17. No offense to the guy, but I wasn't expecting Lady Love here, but so far, so good.
  18. Is tonight Puerto Rican Night? I am just now noticing the high number of flags and flag-themed garments.
  19. Frayed Knot wrote: A quickie interweb search suggests that the name Yoho is from the 17th century American frontier and possibly derived from the Germn/Swiss Johann. I was thinking earlier that Misiorowski is what 1980s outfielder John Mizerock and 1970s pool champion Steve Mizerak might have been called before America got their hands on the name.
  20. They play a doubleheader with a four-man bench, and they still can't throw a start to Jankowski. Desperate times.
  21. My name is Edgy and I was 99% sure that the park was going to hold Nimmo's shot. Possibly more than that.
  22. Well, that is certainly a stretch and then some.
  23. Eighteen of the final 19 go down. So, hey! — they don't need runners on base to fail.
  24. They really shut down the offense after the Brewers' breakthrough inning. Swing at the first pitch, turn and jog back to the dugout.
