From Neil Best at Newsday. ]WFAN gave Rose permission to moonlight. Earlier this season, Fox sought Kevin Burkhardt for spot duty, but SNY nixed the idea. I wonder why they nixed it.

I like that Manuel is not afraid to talk about it , this should be required reading for the Mets and their fans. I hear that Fred Wilpon will be on Oprah tomorrow . -

It shouldn't bother me but I can't understand why Lastings was playing so deep and out of position on so many hard hit balls during last nights game. Just a few exchanges from the IGT. He was doing the same thing early in the season - so Acta must want him there either by direct order or at least tacit approval. Why would Acta expose Milledge like that , he looked awful last night and frankly has not looked comfortable in CF during games I have watched before. I suppose really I don't understand why Acta didn't bring him in and had him playing deep in right center. Not impressed with Acta the more I see his carry on . Managers dictate this stuff right? , Manuel tells Wright to not guard the line late in the game I assume , I dunno.

I remember several times my wife getting upset with me for getting her into Mets baseball , " how can you watch this , it's heartbreaking".....watching the game last night she was all excited at the end and wanted to go see a game. Even my wife commented last night that there is a different feeling now with tis team than last September. -

I like him a lot , seems like a real down to earth guy but at the same time oozes cool. One of my favorite shows was in Uzbekistan where Bourdain went through what seemed like torture from a masseur.

Ok so that's confirmed , regardless don't the Mets have a lot of money potentially coming of the books? Seems to me that it's a yearly gripe about the Mets tightening the purse strings only for them then to turn around and give out some hefty contracts.

I just don't see the Wilpon's or Minaya hatching a plan like that , I could see Wagner pushing the issue though for different reasons , wanting to get back quickly.
